The internationally renowned harpist and artistic director Florence Sitruk opens the concert series “Bel Etage”. The concert is reminiscent of the stately salons of early Romanticism, when a great woman and thinker named Rahel Levy Varnhagen, in the immediate vicinity of the Ermelerhaus, gathered the most important artists and poets of her time in her house on Jägerstrasse: the Brentanos, Goethe or the Arnims In the “Flora Hall” of the Ermelerhaus, too, the greats of their time undoubtedly met.
The Ermelerhaus’ centuries-old, oscillating wooden floors are comparable to those in the “Sala Mozart” in Bologna, or the Château de Strasbourg, France, and deliver outstanding acoustics. No music lover should miss the beauty of the rooms combined with the exclusive acoustics. On September 8th, 2022, the concert series “Bel Etage” celebrates its premiere in the Ermelerhaus (Märkisches Ufer 10-12, 10179 Berlin). At the beginning, the artistic director Florence Sitruk plays a solo recital on the harp with works by Bach, Scarlatti and Mozart.
Tickets for the premiere for EUR 35.00 can be reserved by sending an email to [email protected]. Seats are limited and include a glass of sparkling wine in the Upside Down Bar & Restaurant. Admission is at 7 p.m., at 7.30 p.m. there is the possibility of an art tour through the rooms of the Ermelerhaus and art’otel berlin mitte and at 8 p.m. the concert begins.
